I was never 100% happy with 'Holly Chats Shop'. Always feeling as if something was missing. Yesterday I painted out all of the areas of painting that did not work, I then imposed a frisky female and a new piece grew from there. I am working hard to keep areas from the original painting intact (the black and yellow polka dot). I have an urge to make my new work a little more sensual, to provoke the audience a little.
Will post the final painting here when its done, not sure when that will be. I have also included a close up as I have not posted so much recently. Thanks for reading, comments are welcome.

ReplyDeleteI think Holly Chats Shop are fab paintings, totally agree painting is difficult! Sometimes it is stronger than us and takes us to places we didn't initially want to go, as long as we can resolve the journey then that's fine isn't it.
